There's a challenge in making something on request. It just takes a different approach. But since I was first asked to design some simple invitations for people I've started to enjoy the thrill of pleasing people with the things I make.

These are invitations I drew and painted for different petting zoo's.

About what Hands can be.

This was a huge wall-sized painting  I was asked to make to decorate an office space. Since I was given no further instructions I decided to go with what I thought fits the place, an assisted living facility: huge hands and bright colors that symbolize the abbility to give and receive (health-)care.

These tulips where the first ones I painted on request.
I have never been so nervous about a painting before.

I was anxious and afraid the buyers (strangers to me) wouldn't like what I had done.
Thankfully they did!
